Translator


Summary

We are looking for a part-time translator to work with us remotely and translate documents from Kurdish into English or vice versa based on business needs. You will be working on freelance basis and may carry out your tasks from home.

Tasks

  • Translates a variety of documents including legal, research, technical, scientific, educational, and commercial materials.
  • Translate documents from Kurdish into English and vice versa.
  • Adhere to the quality standards established by TranslateMe-Kurdistan office.
  • Organize translated material and finalize translation according to our standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Consult with experts in specialist areas; retain and develop specialist knowledge on specialist areas of translation.
  • May specialize in a particular industry in which he or she has relevant experience or knowledge, such as Legal, the arts, business, or finance

Requirements - Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in translation, English language, or business.
  • Fluency in at least two languages (Kurdish & English).
  • Understanding of grammar, knowledge of specific subjects, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Active Learning – ability to work with new material or information to grasp its implications.
  • Flexible, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Computer skills (web browsers & emailing).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
